Q: What does Exutoire mean?

Exutoire is a French word that comes from the Latin word exutum which means an outlet to get rid of what bothers you. At Exutoire we believe in self-care. A candlelit bath or dinner is a great way to release the stress of the day.

Q: What type of products do you use?

All of our products are natural, eco-friendly, cruelty-free, not tested on animals, and handcrafted. We use oils that are phthalate-free, and sourced recyclable materials for packaging.

Q: I have burned my candle and it's a bit bumpy on the top. Why?

When you burn the candle, you may see some bumps or an uneven surface, this is perfectly normal. This is a typical occurrence with soy wax and we use soy wax in our blend. There is absolutely nothing wrong, but only a reminder that this candle is derived from natural materials. You are safe to keep burning your candle and enjoy the beautiful fragrance.

Q: Why do you use coconut wax?

In our research, we wanted to be mindful of our environmental impact, as well as using materials that are safe for pets and humans. Our ingredients are cruelty free and vegan standards. Our products have not been tested on animals or made with animal byproducts.

Q: Why does my candle wick have a black mushroom shape after burning?
All of our wicks burn with a slight curl which creates a self-trimming effect with minimal carbon buildup Also known as mushrooming, reduced smoking, and a stable flame.

 

Q: Where is my package?

Please note that we typically ship within 1-5 business days of receiving your order. To preserve the quality of your product, no shipping will take place after Wednesday of each week. If you have not received a shipping confirmation after 5 business days of placing your order, please contact us.
